Do comedy festivals sell passes?

The short answer

Many do. The Fountain City Comedy Festival in Kansas City sells a two-day Weekend Pass to every show, Fastball in Arizona sold one-day and two-day passes for October 2026, and Toronto's 2026 SHOWS pass covered every show. Fringes mostly sell show by show, though Edmonton's Fringe sells bundles of ten or twenty tickets.

Passes that cover every show

The Fountain City Comedy Festival in Kansas City, on 23 and 24 October 2026, offers a two-day Weekend Pass to every show; pass holders collect a lanyard from volunteers at their first show, and the tickets page gives no price. The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival's 2026 SHOWS pass covered more than 60 shows on four stages, against single tickets of $25 (Canadian) each, and its EVERYTHING pass added workshops and panels. Philly Sketchfest's 2024 pass covered all live shows and its sketch film festival for $100 (US), with a Night Pass for single evenings.

Day passes and seat tiers

Fastball Comedy Festival, at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona, on 17 and 18 October 2026, sold passes by day and by seat: one-day passes started at $69 (US) for reserved stadium seats and at $299 for the Press Box Club, and the two-day pass sold out. The Vail Comedy Festival sold multi-event passes for its 22 to 24 May 2026 festival in Vail Village, including a $30 (US) film pass to all cinema events, and VIP pass holders had a kick-off party with the comedians. Passes are collected with photo ID. The next Vail festival runs 29 to 31 May 2027.

Fringes sell show by show

Fringe festivals mostly sell each show on its own. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe's box office sells tickets for every show, and shows booked in one transaction share one QR code. Prague Fringe's 2026 tickets were one price for all: 300 Kč in advance and 350 Kč at the door. Brighton Fringe adds a £1.50 booking fee per ticket, capped at £6, and moves tickets only to another performance of the same event. Edmonton's Fringe is the exception: in 2026 its Frequent Fringer Pass gave ten tickets for $170 and the Double Fringer Pass twenty for $340 (Canadian), one pass per person, with single tickets $20 or less.
