Morges-sous-Rire Festival 2027

Morges-sous-Rire has staged francophone comedy in Morges every year since 1989, drawing some fifteen thousand people from across Romandie to a week of shows in and around the Théâtre de Beausobre. Its shows play three stages: Le Théâtre, with 850 seats, Le CUBE, with 150, and La Paille, an open-air ring of straw bales on the football pitch seating 300. Concerts, food trucks, bars and a craft market, all free to enter, fill the esplanade, and the 2026 edition counted more than thirty shows and 45 artists.

Its story

Its Scène Ouverte contest gives new comedians ten minutes each before a jury and the audience. The 12th, in 2026, was won by Nina Cachelin, who goes on to represent the country at francophone comedy festivals abroad, while Marion Agoston took the audience prize. The next year, each year's contestants tour Romandie together in La Tournée.

Tickets are sold in the festival's online shop, by phone on +41 21 804 97 16, at the Théâtre de Beausobre's box office, at Av. de Vertou 2, from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm, and at Morges Région Tourisme. Amine Radi on 11 June 2027 costs CHF 59, and Jeanfi Janssens on 12 June costs CHF 54. The box office opens an hour before each show, and tickets are neither refunded nor exchanged.
